DESIGNS FOR TMLA’s THAT ARE NOT ACCEPTABLE
The following designs will not be accepted as they can create a safety issue for our Membership or they do not
follow the family-inclusive atmosphere that we have in our organization.1. Any artwork that is a direct or very close copy of any 1% club or support club logo (death head, Bandido, crossed
pistons, etc.)2. Devil or flaming devil artwork of any kind.
3. Artwork containing nudity of any kind.
4. Artwork that contains foul language or curse words as defined in Webster’s dictionary.
5. Artwork that is the direct use of another trademark without expressed written consent from that organization is a trademark violation (use of a motorcycle brand logo with our logo).
6. Artwork that is the direct use of another chapter TMLA without expressed written consent from that chapter is a
trademark violation.7. Artwork that puts our organization in a bad light to any reasonable person inside or outside of the organization.
8. Artwork that uses “SUPPORT” as this is a % term in the motorcycle club world. We have the Friends of the Red Knights (FORK) program to show backing for a Chapter.
There are three different Trademark Licenses (but you apply using the same form):
1. Chapter Business Trademark License:
The Red Knights Motorcycle Club name and logo are trademarked. This is a MANDATORY TMLA that is sent out at the inception of all new Chapters. No Chapter can receive its new Chapter packet until it is electronically signed. All
existing Chapters that do not have this will be on Restricted Service until it is signed. This is the necessary TMLA to run
your Chapter. It gives a Chapter the right to use the Red Knights’s name and logo for ONLY the paper products needed to run the Chapter (i.e. – Checks, letterhead, stationary, business cards, recruitment flyers, etc.). This TMLA is automatically sent at the formation of your new chapter.2. Chapter Item Trademark License:
This TMLA is for EACH ITEM a Chapter wants to create, outside of clothing. Patches, coins, banners, mugs, etc. and
the list is endless on what can be created by a Chapter. EACH item created MUST have its own application filled out
with the description of that item even if the design is the same. You must give a good description of the item and attach a sample of artwork along with the application. The registered trademark symbol ® is strongly encouraged, although not compulsory, for ALL products that contain any of our protected marks.3. Clothing Trademark License:
This TMLA is for EACH DESIGN a Chapter wants to place on clothing. This is our only “blanket” TMLA as this covers ALL clothing for a single design. Apparel items included are: (Clothing): Shirts, pants, uniforms, swimsuits, pajamas, sports jerseys, etc. (Footwear): Shoes, sneakers, boots, cleats, slippers, etc. (Headgear): Hats, berets, turbans, visors, skull caps, etc.. Each new design must have its own application with images depicting the product attached. You must give a brief description of the item and attach an image of the product along with the application. The registered trademark symbol ® is strongly encouraged, although not compulsory, for ALL products that contain any of our protected marks.If there are any questions as to whether you need a TMLA for an item, please call the International Secretary. It is a federal trademark violation if you create a product without permission. We have spent a lot of time and effort to protect our name from being used improperly by those inside and outside our organization. The system has become easier and more streamlined for the ease of processing, if you have any questions, please feel free to contact the International Secretary who is more than happy to help.
In accordance with SOG 4:03, only officers or a designated Quartermaster may apply for a TMLA. Please keep in mind that TMLAs are issued to a chapter and are not issued to the officer applying.
To start this process first fill out a TMLA Application by clicking on the TMLA link . The form enables you to fill it out digitally. Compile images that depict what the product would look like. Please keep in mind that it would take hundreds of words to describe an item where an image can speak volumes for us.
Once complete, email the TMLA Application and the images to the International Secretary at secretary@redknightsmc.com.
The International Secretary will then review and if approved, start the Adobe sign process. You will receive an email from adobesign@adobesign.com, follow the prompts to complete. Once the Adobe Sign process is complete, the International Secretary will compile all documents together and place the digital International Seal on the completed TMLA, digitally sign it, and email it back to the chapter for the chapter’s records.
Anything with the use of “Red Knights”, “RKMC”, or our club logo. Please keep in mind that the International Seal is STRICTLY PROHIBITED.

If you wish to have your Chapter’s items listed on the website, please fill out the Chapter Merchandise Submission Form. Any “Chapter Merchandise” items MUST have a TMLA covering the specific item. All TMLA’s have an ID number which must accompany the form (i.e. IN 02-02) and be submitted to the Communications Chair for publishing on our website.
Download a Chapter Merchandise Submission Form, Fill it out COMPLETELY, as per the instructions on the page, and send it to Secretary@RedKnightsMC.com in the original Word document format.
We are unable to “update” a file that is already on the web. You must submit a “NEW” page for posting.
Prices and availability of all merchandise are subject to change without notice.
If your chapter is no longer selling an item please notify communications so that the item can be removed from the website. If you are no longer using a TMLA issued to your chapter, please notify the International Secretary.
